How can I choose the file format to burn to audio CD?

I need be be able to burn audio discs for my car but my car will only read
MP3 files. Many of my audio files are in mp4 format. I've installed a
plugin that allows WMP to read mp4 but when burning I don't get an option
that I can tell to select what audio format I want my burned disc to use.

How can I tell WMP to burn my audio files to mp3?

You might want to repost on a Media Player forum to get more/better help,
this one is for Windows Media Center (not the same thing).

Try using some burning softwares like NERO which has capability to convert
files of different media (.mp3 to audio , vice versa )
