After SP1, I find that I can no longer use my Radio Tuner. After I setup
my TV Tuner in Vista Ultimate SP1 x86, and I try to run the Radio part in
WMC, I am told that I have to setup the Radio tuner and to do that I have to
setup my TV tuner, which I JUST DID!!!!!!! ARgggghhhhh

P.S. This problem does NOT exist in 64 bit Vista.

I'm having a similar problem. All of a sudden, I'm getting a message that
says I don't have a TV tuner. How did you do that?
Thanks,
Marty

Hi Marty. To get Vista to recognize my TV Tuner card I had to have two TV
Antennas connected to my ATI TV Tuner 650. One to the Digital, the other to
the analog. But in 32 bit Vista, I can't get the TV Tuner to work.

I hope someone knows the answer.

I've got the 32 bit Vista and it says there is no tuner hardware. I've used
it before without trouble. Also, when I tried to email the troubleshooters,
it didn't recognize my authorization code. I went back and double checked
and I had the right code. I'm just glad everything else seems to be working.

Oops, I meant to write that I can't get my Radio tuner to work. I can get
both to work in 64 bit Vista SP1.

Don't why this works and the other didn't. I connected my ATI 650 card up
to an analog cable connection and an antennae for the Radio/Digital. Now
both work. I wonder why using an antennae for both didn't work? (two
separate antennae, not one)

Are you saying that when you used a splitter to connect an antenna to both
the analog tuner connection and to the digital tuner connection hat that you
could not receive both OTA analog and OTA digital channels? Or are you
saying that when you connected two separate antennas and no cable
connections with one antenna going to each tuner that you could not receive
both OTA analog and OTA digital?
Please clarify what does not work.

Hi. I was writing that using two separate antennae didn't work. :)

Do you have the original 650 hybrid tuner card or the newer dual tuner 650
Pro card?

I don't know. On the box it calls it the ATI 650 TV Wonder card. And it is
PCI, not PCI-e.

It appears then that is the original 650 card which is a Hybrid tuner card
meaning that both tuners can not be used concurrently. Because both tuners
can not be used concurrently only one of them can be configured in MC.
Apparently with both antennas you were configuring the analog tuner in MC
and when you switched to cable source and re configured the card it or you
chose the FM/digital tuner.
Are you running MCE 2005 or Vista? If Vista did your recently upgrade from
2005 to Vista?

This is a clean install of Vista Ultimate SP1. Thank you for all of your
input on this. Since I now have everything working as I want, I am back to
my pursuit of hamburgers and French fries. LOL
