Hi,

I recently updated my Vista Ultimate installation to SP1 and it seems
that the Pause functionality has changed. It was always the case
before that the pause function would only pause for a limited time
period while watching live TV and I assumed this was because of the
limited size of the pause buffer on the disk. However this limited
time period did not apply to pauses while watching recorded TV, but
now after aplying SP1 when I pause a recorded program after a while it
restarts. I regressed the SP using System Restore and the original
behaviour is back. Is there any way of having SP1 without this
annoyance ? It is a major PITA to have a program resume playing just
because a phone call takes longer to answer, and I can see no reason
why this should have changed in SP1 ?

Thanks,

Mike

Its not SP1, itâ??s the June update.
Uninstall the Cumulative Update (KB950126)
This update is pushed, so you have to block it from downloading again.
