HI all,

I've spoken to the morons and Time Warner to the point that I want to
pull my hair out. After being transfered back and forth to a number of
different tech support agents, it seems that no one over there has a
clue what a Media Center Edition PC that is equipt with a TV Tuner
card is.

Can anyone in this groupd please help? Time warner recenlty changed
their entire channel line up in my area. For example HBO use to be
channel 201 and now it is 603 and channel 201 is now USA Network. I am
able to watch the channels appropriately, but Media Center Guide's
channels are still matching up with the old lineup. Guide still shows
channel 201 as HBO while it should be USA, etc. I have tried to
re-setup the Media Center Guide and re-download the line ups, but
after the download says it finished successfully, I still get the
exact incorrect lineup that I had before. Can anyone offer some help
with this so that I don't have to manually edit like 200 some
channels. Shouldn't I be able to download the correct infor for my
area just like I did before Time Warner re-vamped the lineup?
Thanks in Advance!!!
Regards,

Steve B.

In the US, MCE gets it guide info from zap2it.com, it sounds like they have
not updated.

Try going directly to the zap2it web site and enter your location/provider
info and see if it is correct.

If not, you can go contact them to point out a lineup discrepancy (check the
"contact" link).

Where exactly at the zap2it website would I find the option to enter
location/provider and where would I report the issue?

Still not sorted out. I have submitted the problem to the MCE
Electronic Program Guide Issue Submission as Doug had directed me on
May 3rd and I have not heard back and the guide is still incorrect.
This is really irritating me since it is messing up my ability to
schedule with Media Center or my Archos.

Have you had any luck Jaird?

Hello Doug:
For me I taken the time to report my EPG errors 3 times. The link is dead!
<create report><enter> nothing!!!!! so here is my report.

Notes from the DEAD Link from Microsoft site: and my notes I typed in
04/30/2008 trying to report a HDTV EPG to Zap2it using the Microsoft tools to
do same.
Fargo, ND and Moorhead, MN 56560 HDTV markets.

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/mediacenter/using/guidesubmit.mspx

Windows XP Media Center Edition Electronic Program Guide Issue Submission Form

The Windows XP Media Center Edition Electronic Program Guide (EPG) issue
submission form provides you with a quick and easy way to report EPG issues
associated with Media Center. Microsoft collects this information in order to
take appropriate corrective action and improve the support for the EPG used
with Windows XP Media Center Edition.

When you submit a form, Windows error reporting gathers information about
the current EPG configuration from your Media Center PC and sends this
information with your completed issue submission form to Microsoft. Issue
reporting is anonymous, and Microsoft will not reply to your issue directly.
If the issue you are experiencing is covered in an existing Knowledge Base
article, your browser will be redirected to that article. Microsoft reviews
all submissions and provides updates for additional device support through
the Windows Update Web site and Knowledge Base articles. For product support
issues, see the Windows XP Media Center Edition support page.

To report an issue with your Electronic Program Guide
Using your Media Center PC, type or select the requested information in the
fields below.

Click Create Report. The Electronic Program Guide dialog box appears.
In the Electronic Program Guide dialog box, click Send Error Report.
NOTE: You may be prompted for additional information if necessary. If
further information is available about the issue, a link will appear in
another dialog box.

While there is a possibility that someone from MS (or zap2it) may see your
report posted here, this is just a public user's group and is not affiliated
in any way with MS.

You can go directly to the zap2it website and report issues there as well.
That might be a better option.

Hello Jaime

Just started to look around Zap2it for the 3rd time..... I found a report
page/E-mail
(1) http://www.zap2it.com/services/site/zap-feedback,0,6935396.story

"Send general comments to feedback@zap2it.com. Please keep e-mails short,
concise, and to the point; and make the "Subject:" lines relevant. We will
try to answer e-mails in a timely manner, but at times we get overwhelmed and
may take longer to respond. Feedback is not handled over the weekends"(1)

Thanks
