I am trying to get my tv signal setup in Vista MCE. MCE thinks I have a
digital signal although it can't find any channels. Not surprising since the
signal source is analog. My frustration is that it won't allow me to change
the signal source. Suggestions??

What make/model tuner card do you have installed and what is the source of
your signal input(s) to the card?

The answer is, install the Mainconcept Encoder and MCE wil find your analog
tv tuner, i had the same problem and the MCE encoder helpt me solve it.

http://www.mainconcept.com/site/index.php?id=17773

and pick the one that match your Operating system 32 or 64 bit.

Succes

Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-950. Source is analog cable.

The 950 does not have an MCE compatible driver for the analog tuner on the
card since the card does not have an MPEG@ encoder chip on it.
You may be able to use the software encoder/driver that sshouse provided
you the link to.
