Hi,

I have a del laptop inspiron 1300. Always my pc was shuting down when it git
overheated. After i formated my pc it never turned off when it gets
overheated. How can i make my pc shut down when overheated?

What temperature are you getting?Have you checked the BIOS?The over
temperature may be due to accumulated dust,if that be the case then you
should try to blow the accumulated dust near the laptop fans.

It may be due to malfunctioning of CPU fan speed sensor.

You may also try the following program:-

http://www.diefer.de/i8kfan/index.html


If nothing helps then it will be wise to get the laptop inspected by a
skill technician.

I can't view cpu temperature and i havent found the shutdown temperature in
bios setup

There likely isn't one, if your having overheating issues it is likely that
the fins of the CPU heat sink are clogged with dust and need to be cleaned,
this often requires disassembly of the laptop to do thoroughly.
