Hello,

I am new and by mistake I posted this under the thread where Richard Miller
fixed it for sue. But the solution didn't work for me so I wondered if there
is any other way I can solve it.

I have the exact same problem that you fixed for Sailor Sue. I am hoping you
can help me fix mine too. When I have Media Center maximized and click on the
minimize button I don't get MOVE. I get a box coming up saying Settings
and Messenger.

I tried to right click the Media Center shortcut icon on the desktop and
chose : Open in a normal window. That didn't work.
I went in and checked all the settings in Media Center that didn't work. I
can get MOVE when I right click the minimized Media Center on the taskbar at
the bottom but you can't move it with only the tab on the taskbar screen
showing. As the other post said I can see it going somewhere off my screen
when I click on it.

Any other ideas. I even phoned HP Tech support and all the could suggest was
to restore the Media Center software. I am running version 5.1.2715.3011
which I assume is the 2005 edition that windows download probably updated the
original to.

Thanks in advance!!

opened and the new OPTIMIZATION feature checked off which automatically does
something to your Media Center Program.

Thanks in advance!!

New problem - only while viewing TV in Media Center 04 XP Pro SP2....all
other windows working normally. I can only view in maximized screen size.
When i restore the size so that i can move the window or resize it, it
dissappears off the left side of my screen. I can still hear the program,
but there is only a tab showing media center is open on the toolbar. i can't
seem to "drag" it back to the center of my screen....it's just totally gone.
Obviously,when it's maximized, i can't move the window. I did a restore to
before the problem started, but to no avail. Thanks for any help!

To Richard Miller and everyone:
Thanks thanks thanks! after being up for 20 hr trying to fix this your
suggestion worked although I had to do it a bit differently. Even HP Tech
support could not fix this for me.

When Media Center was minimized on the taskbar I could get the MOVE option
but could not find the program to move it. As Sue said it looked like it went
off the screen and disappeared.

So I chose MOVE and then started moving the keyboard arrow buttons back &
forth and sure enough it came up from the bottom of the screen and
reappeared!!!

The little triangle dots in the bottom right corner (that let you resize the
window) were back and the top minimize, restore down, and maximize buttons
work now too.

Thanks again!!!
