G'day,

I get my TV signal via an AV Receiver.

I have this plugged into my PC's tuner card using the AV Receiver's
RCA plugs (yellow, red, white).

What options in the Windows Media Center do I use to get the TV
working?

If I choose Cable or Satellite, then I can see the picture in the
small setup box but the setup fails as it says I need to connect the
IR. There is no where to connect the IR to the AV Receiver.

Does anyone know what needs to be done to get this working?

(I'd also like to be able to connect my Camcorder using the RCA plugs
method as well)

Thanks in advance.

Regards.

Where does the TV come from before your AV Receiver? If you hook up the RCA
plugs for TV input then Media Center expects you to be using a Set Top Box. To
control this STB you need a Media Center IR remote/receiver combo that has IR
bugs that enable Media Center to change channel on the STB.

Why do you want to connect you Camcorder to Media Center? It's really only
designed for Live TV sources not a camcorder or VCR.

Thanks for the response Nigel.
I've managed to get it working by 'tricking' WMC into thinking I'm
using Cable.

Cheers.
