Hi guys been reading for a while and you guys are very knowledgeable
and helpful. Here is my question ....
Is there a way in Vista MCE to change the naming convention in the
recorded TV folder??? For example the way it names a file now is...
Doctor Who_SCIFI_30_05_2008

Is it possible to have VIsta MCE change teh naming convention so that
I can either switch that around a bit or change it completely to
whatever I want like...

Doctor Who 4x01

Thanks in Advance....

No.There is no need as the metadata within that file means that when it is
selected in Media Center the details of the TV show will be displayed.

No offense but there is a need if someone makes a rquest for it like I
did. I might be the only one but there is a need for me as I made the
request. I want to change the naming convention. If it cant be done
that is one thing but to say there is no need is wrong.

I still don't see the need but obviously you have a wish:-) You can manually
rename the files to anything you want

It is obvious that I can rename the files manually. In some odd way
maybe you are trying to help anyway thanks. I guess you just didnt
understand my question. I want media center to be able to change the
naming convention. I gave the example...
Doctor Who_SCIFI_30_05_2008
Is it possible to have Media Center change the name of the files when
recording to anything else without me having to go in later an
manually change them???
Thanks
