I have XP media Center on a Dell Dimension E510. It is mostly used
during the warmer weather months, so hasn't been used recently. It
was working fine, but now I get "tuner not available, the tuner is
currently in use by another application or is not working, please
close all other applications, restart media center and start again".
The computer has been updated and has SP-3, don't know if that has
been a problem. I also changed from Time Warner standard cable to
Time Warner digital cable (think I tried it after the switch and I
believe it was fine at that point). The tuners I believe are Angel II
MPEG device. I checked signal through the cable with an old TV I had
available and the signal is fine. Re-ran setup did not help.
Any suggestions would be helpful
Thanks
Don

I'm having the EXACT same problem - I also own a Dell Dimension E510, with a
recent upgrade to SP3. This happens even after a reboot, and I've checked my
running processes in Task Manager - nothing out of the ordinary that would be
using the tuner when this message pops up. My tuner is a Pinnacle PCTV HD
Pro.
