We run Win XP (home edition 2002, SP2) and when surfing the web, we find more
and more web sites where the Explorer chrashes (..has encountered a problem
and needs to close..). It used to be a few - but now it is quite often - and
on sites that until recently was ok.

Is there some way of cleaning up the system - other than complete
reinstallation?

Explorer is version 7.0.5730.11

All current Windows updates have been installed.

Wauw - that seems to work. I have pretty much disabled all add-ons.

Some pages now can't show some kind of media-fields... is there a way to
know which add-on it requires - so I can turn that paricular one on again?

I thought a message would appear and ask for me to turn on something - or
that it didi it automatically - and then the explorer would gradually clutter
up again...

But in general - I am very happy with this advice - as the browser doesn't
crash any more.
