I have some folders in my e-mail contact list that I would like save, but, I
don't know how to move the folders out of the e-mail contact list. I would
like to back them up into a four-gigabyte Flash memory Drive. I have Windows
XP. Appriciate your help. Thanks

This group is for Windows Media Center, hence the name windows.mediacenter,
you need to repost to the relevant group for what ever email application
your using.

Although that question is a bit off topic for this news group.

If you are using Windows Outlook Express 6, you can find where Outlook
Express stores its files, by (in Outlook Express 6), Tools > Options >
Maintenance Tab, Click the Store Folder Button, Read the text in the box. Or
copy the text.

You can then copy every thing in that location and save it to a flash memory
drive or any other external hard drive.

OE6 has several files in an email store. Every .dbx file is a folder in OE6.

Outlook Express 6 can be configured to use an existing Store.

You can then copy all of the contents to another computer in the same
location that that computer's email store is located, or you can configure
Outlook Express to use the location of your choice.
