Duplicate songs on networked pc's

When I use media center on other networked computers in my house all of the
songs show up twice. If I try and delete a duplicate song from the list then
the song disappears completely from the hosting media center PC... The
hosting PC works fine and only shows 1 instance of each song, it's just the
networked computers that have the duplicate problem.

Have you found a solution to this problem? I am having the same issue with XBox 360 Windows Media Center and a Vista Ultimate machine. All of my songs are shown twice (duplicates) in the XBox Media Center even though on my PC they show only once.

you need to start a new thread and not reply to a dead thread over a
year old. try removing the association from the Xbox 360 in the
dashboard. then go to Media Center and remove the extender.

then start from scratch and add a new extender. if this does not
work, start a new thread with all the details of what you tried and
what happened.
