ATI Driver Issue Solved

I have seen in various places people having problems with ATI Catalyst driver
installations which resulted in MOM.... and CLI... errors when the computer
started up. After trying multiple clean XP installs I figured out that the
problem was that it needs BOTH .NET 1.1 and .NET 2.0 installed for the driver
to work correctly.

I have the problem with MCE working for a couple mins, then I get squares
all over the screen flashing until the computer freezes... winxp with ati
radeon x800 - this also happens with some kids games. I've installed
updated drivers for mce from ati to no avail - this is after a new
motherboard and new hard drive (clean xp install) were installed... any
suggestions??


Have installed, but still happens (as listed in add/remove programs):
net framework 1.1
net framework 1.1 hotfix
net framework 2.0 service pack 1
net framework 3.0 service pack 1
