Connection problem from Xbox 360 to Windows Premium PC

I have a problem with connecting an Xbox 360 to a Windows Vista Premium PC
I can get it connected but it takes several attempts before it connects
First few attempts it comes up with the following error, The xbox 360 has
experienced a failure and has been disconnected from the media centre based
pc. You then have the option to try again, and normally after 3 or 4
attempts it will connect and works great. Its just this small issue with not
immediately connecting . The PC and the Xbox are connected Via a Linksys
Router, and my PC based Firewalls are off. Its just reall frustrating when 2
new products that are designed to connect just dont every time.

I have the same issue, but I can't get connected at all. I see the Extender
on my PC and everything. Strange.

Make sure your firewall is configured to allow the access , I have switchd
off both my Windows and Norton Firewalls and when it connects its great.
