I have XP 2005 MCE. When I select the option for closed caption either No or
only when in mute, I still get the captions during the play.

What am I doing wrong or how do I fix this. I have reset numerous times,
did new start ups, etc. and still get the captions immaterial to my settings?

Two is correct.

After the install finishes with disc 2 it'll say "insert Windows XP SP2
disc" (words to that effect) It's actually asking you to put disc 1 back in.
I mention this because that step confuses a lot of people.

IIRC the sets that have three discs have rollup 2 on the third disc. You can
get that from Windows update.
