I own a copy of Windows MCE that has been pestering me for quite some time. I
live in Europe, and apparently my MCE copy is not in the language it appears
to be. Rather it is an English copy with with a special language pack
installed on top of it. The Home and Premium editions are not assembled this
way.

Now, the problem is that my native language is only offered as a LIP and I
can't get it to install on this OS because English is not the parent language
for the LIP. Is there any workaround for me, or will the frustration
eventually drive me bald?

Oh, I should probably have mentioned that this problem is not limited to the
LIP. As automatic updates trickle in from Microsoft, some of the updated
parts of Windows turn (back?) into English. I've tried to download the
correct language versions of some updates, but - of course - they will not
install either.
