Download WINDOWS LIVE MAIL and use it. It will import your messages and
addresses from OE and is not so prone to virus attacks.

OE is outmoded, even in MS eyes.

Hi Steven,
This can be caused if these two true:
1- Your Anti-virus is blocking your OE/O or any other email client from
sending out!:
This an example but it could be any Av can cause this:
You receive the "0x80004005 : The operation failed" error message when you
receive new e-mail messages in Outlook
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/329936

2- Your Incoming mail server and outgoing mail server been set wrong:

Click Tools >> Accounts >> select account and click properties then click
servers tab and make sure the right servers entries been putted right.
also the right port is it 25 or 784..etc please ask your E-mail provider for
the correct settings that work with their E-mail.
Connect Outlook to your Internet e-mail account
