After I updated to XP SP3, whenever I reboot I get many many DLL Fail to
initalize errors...i ran virus scan, reg cleaner, etc. but no use (it's a
brand new laptop! Dell Latitude D830)...

Anyone have any idea what the problem might be?

Did you temporarily turn off your anti-virus system during this SP3
update?

Did you install this update via the Windows Update web site? It
seems that this WU update may cause more problems during the update.
