View BCC once sent
I have sent some emails with OE 6.0.2900.
My email was in the TO field and the rest were in the BCC field.
So far, the only way to see who got the email is to click on File |
Properties and then choose Details.
Is there an easier way to see who got the email so that it shows the BCC
recipents to me?
A tweak, registry modification or something would be appreciated.

Apparently-To????
Hi All,
I am copied into some email messages in a way that the header shows as
'Apparently-To'.
In OE can't find a way of trapping these messages and moving them into a
folder using message rules.
Any ideas please.

Move To DeltaSync Postposed?
I have read here and elsewhere that the move from WebDav to DeltaSync has

Outlook Express 6 can't collect mail
hi can anyone advise each time i try to collect my mail through oulook
express it asks for my user name and password. i have reset both problem
still persits and spoken to my i. s. p. they say that the problem is with
microsoft outlook, any ideas!

Print Error in Outlook Express 6 (IE6)
In WinXP Home, SP2, running IE6 and OE6, am getting the following
error when trying to print a message from OE6:

newsgroups
I had verizon newsgroups up in till sun night.
than it stopped working, I now get "unable to connect to server".
I have microsoft news and grc on my oe and it worksfine.
I called verizon 3 times now and they tell me it's my problem
my avg or my zone alarm. I removed both from my machine
and still can't get my verizon news groups. any body else have this
problem? can any one help me with this.

E-mail or posts with attachments
Sometimes I get emails with jpeg attachments and when I open them the
images are displayed below the text. This applies to attachments in
binary newsgroups, as well. I know that jpeg attachments can be
dodgy, so what I would like to know is, if the images appear below the
email or post, are the files actually opened, or is it that only by
double-clicking the file attachment and opening them that way could
they create a potential danger?
I use AVG Free (without email scanner) and thought that I could
right-click an email or post in OE before opening it and I would have
the option to Scan with AVG just to make sure, but this is not the
case, unfortunately. I can scan with AVG if I save emails or posts to
Desktop before opening it, but would any infection they may contain be
released by the "save as" action, please? It seems unlikely, but I
thought I would ask...

oe slow to load SOME of the time...
...90% of the time OE takes about a minute to load fully. i get the folder
panels on the left immediately, but the header list and preview windows can
take forever. running xp sp2. eset smart security. 10% of the time

E-Mail sending receipt issue
I am having issues sending e-mails with read receipts. I receive e-mails
from contacts with a read receipt message asking me if I want to send the
return receipt. I left click yes and a message appears saying the return
receipt cannot be sent.
Here's some info:
OS: Windows XP Professional SP2
Browser: IE7
E-Mail: OE6
Security: McAfee Internet Security Suite.
The return send receipt has worked recently until last week. No changes
were made to the computer.

How to set Outlook to show HTML format for email as default settin
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to set Outlook to show HTML format
for email as default setting? Therefore, when I insert an Image Inline in an
Email with Outlook, Image appears in the message itself, not as an attachment.

IE6 keeps generating errors and closing
IE6 has worked fine for a long time on my Win2000 computer. Lately it won't work for more than a few minutes, always
giving an error message that "iexplore.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows". Then something about
an error log being created, of course never telling me where this error log is(so what's the point?).
Can someone help me troubleshoot this problem...since I can't look at the error log I don't know where to begin.

Outlook Express 6 Problems
Hi,
I started getting this message every time I send an e-mail; "The message
could not be opened from out Outbox folder. Account: 'Brian', Server:
'shawmail.ed.shawcable.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No,
Error Number: 0x800420C8"
People receiving my e-mails get 2 copies of each e-mail & my reply e-mails
usually start with some random parts of the message I was responding to??
Anyone have any idea what this might be about and how I could fix it?
PS - I don't know if it's related, but I started getting these problems soon
after I switched my internet security program to Trend Micro Internet

sp3 + O.E. 6
Until I installed sp3 to my xp home, outlook express ran fine. Since the
installation of sp3, O.E. is unstable, e.g., my wife's emails from her web
based server were transferred to O.E. with out us doing anything. There were
issues with newsgroups we never encountered before also.
We no longer use O.E. but were curious if others had the same problem?

Identity Issue
I have a computer with XP Home, fully up-to date. I use OE6 and every time I
start it, I get the choice of chooing one of the three identies. It works
jusr fine.
I have set up a laptop with XP Home, fully up-to-date with OE6 and two
identities. I have not been able to configure it to always open wiht the
option for choosing an identity. I have both checked and unchecked the box
"Use this identity when starting a program" under Managing Identities.

I have over 20 e-mails that need to be printed - I have tried highlighting

Missing Accounts on Menu Bar!
Hi
I have set up my default email and it all works ok, BUT I cannot set up
any other accounts or even modify the existing account. In fact
"Accounts" has disappeared from the menu altogether! Also I cannot set
up News reader access because Accounts is missing and the link on the
default page does nothing.
I have tried deleting the identity, uninstalling and reinstalling OE,
nothing works. There must be a system setting or a registry fault
somewhere but I can't find anything.
Any help please?

Text in the body is unreadable
I switched to Windows live and I can't read the text in the body. I have to
copy the text and paste it into Word in order to read it. What is wrong? I
even had to type this message in Word and copy it to this email in order to
send it to the newsgroup.
Also; Looking in my options, the Compose is set to 9tp Arial.

The "To free disk space, OE can...." massage pop up every 10 seconds to
remind me about it and it is so annoying for the fact that I don't even use
OE at all, not even once! I am running WinXP Media Center with SP3, I don't
have this problem previously with SP2. Can some please advice how to disable

store folder
for some reason my store folder location changed itself to the default

OE6 keyboard shortcut for "Show/Hide Preview Pane"?
Is there a keyboard shortcut in OE6 that will show/hide the preview
pane? I'm pretty sure the answer is "No" since it's not mentioned in
OE6's help but I'd just like to confirm this 'cause I don't like keeping
the preview pane open and am wearing out my mouse clicking on the
Show/Hide Preview Pane button!

Outlook Express and Recycle Bin contents (many .BAK files)
OE6 is filling the Recycle Bin with BAK files from my OE Identity.
These are all backup files with the .BAK extension for the many folders I
have. There are over 256K in files being saved here and I keep having to run
Disk Cleanup.

Error codes
I have Aol as my ISP which works fine. I also have Active 24 who supply
e-mail which I use through outlook express ver 6. Whilst I can recieve
emails through OE whenever I send emails I get the following error

Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E
I have tried smtp.aol.com with aol port setting 587 (OE port 25). Both Aol
and active24 assure me there part is working fine and " its the others ".
Aol now say its a Microsoft issue as its there software??
Is there anybody out there in technical land who has a answer to my very
frustrating problem!!!!
