My ISP is Qwest (DSL) and I use Firefox for surfing and Yahoo for mail. If I
want to contact a company about a product I see on one of their pages, their
link defaulted to my OE 6.The email will not pass thru my system and just
sits in the outbox. What can I do to do to make OE 6 useful for outbound
e-mails? How do I set it up? PS: i an somewhat of a novice.
Thanks Doug

AFAIK, Qwest does not support Pop3 accounts, so you would have to configure
your Yahoo account to use OE.

If it's a U.S., or CA, Yahoo account and you're not subscribed to Yahoo Mail
Plus, then you can't access the account in Outlook Express.

dougam,
1. Control Panel> Internet Options> Programs tab> Select Firefox for your
Email Program.
2. Open Firefox under Options (I do not know the exact location), and choose
the setting to make Firefox the default Email Program.
3. The next time you run Firefox, you may get a pop up stating the OE is not
the Default Email Program, and do you want it to be. Select NO, and check
the box to not show this pop up again.

When did Firefox include an email program? It's just a browser.
Thunderbird is the email program that goes with it.

Are you just using Yahoo web interface for e-mail? See if this helps:

How can I make Yahoo! Mail my default email application?
