Several mail folders wont open ?

I have been using Outlook Express 6 for sometime . This morning its
done something that it hasnt before ......... Have some 5 mail folders
that it wont open . None have many messages it them .
Re booting the computer or manually compacting mail folders made no
difference ?

Are these all user created folders? If you are in the Inbox and click on one
of these folders, what exactly happens? Do you remain in the Inbox?

2 main ones disappeared .......... So I ran last nights back up and
thats fixed the problem but given me a couple more as deleted a
couple of emails that I would have prefered to still have

Cant win sometimes

see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#4 for recoverying lost messages.

You can try going to File | Identities and set up a new Identity and then,
if that works okay, then go to File | Import Messages and get the messages
from the older Identity.
