Red X Boxes ???

I just received an email from a good friend of mine and when I opened it
there are 5 pictures he sent and they are all blank squares with a small box
in the upper left corner with a red x in it. I have never had this problem
before with any of my email. Anyone have any ideas ?

There are a few possibilities. Some are on the sender's end, and some may be
on your end.

Tried everything Bruce said and still having problem. Went to all sites but
nothing helped. Any ideas?

What is the size of the emails?
If you view the source of the email, do you see any attachments?

No I have not had this problem before. This message is 7Kb . An yes if I
view the source I do see an attachment.

Problem's prolly on the sender's end, especially if it was a forwarded
message and/or he's an AOL user.

7kb is to small for an attachment.

If you actually have the picture, you will have a lot of the numbers and
letters lines.

Thanks for all of your efforts. I called my friend and had him resend it to
me and this time everything came through as it was suppose to. He said he
did nothing different to send it so I guess it was just one of those cyber
things. So I just want to say thanks again.
