using IE 6 my pdf file can not jsut be opened. If I choose to save it to the
desktop I can then open it with no problem. If I try to open this pdf from
the website I get an error that says the file is corrupt. I know it is not
corrupt because I can save it to desktop and open it. Any ideas?

Hi,
Have you uninstalled / reinstalled Adobe Reader?
http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

You might want to break the connection between Adobe Reader and IE. Open
Adobe Reader> Edit> Preferences> Internet> uncheck "Display PDF in browser."
I've never seen the advantage to this integration.

Other possibilities at http://windowsxp.mvps.org/ie/pdf.htm

Hope this helps,
Don

Uninstall all versions of Adobe (Acrobat) Reader and then either install the
newest version from Adobe or install Foxit:
Foxit: http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/rd_intro.php

Hi,

Did this problem realy lead to damage of your pdf files? If so, you
may still try Advanced PDF Repair at http://www.datanumen.com/apdfr/
This tool is rather useful in salvaging damaged PDF documents..

Hope this helps.
