The server {FBA44040-BD27-4A09-ACC8-C08B7C723DCD} did not register with DCOM
within the required timeout. I installed the following updates: Security
Update for ActiveX Killbits for Internet Explorer 6 for Windows 2000
(KB948881), Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1
(KB947864), Windows 2000 Hotfix KB941693, Security Update for Windows 2000
(KB941693), Security Update for Windows 2000 (KB944338), Security Update for
Windows 2000 (KB945553), Windows 2000 Hotfix KB947864-IE6SP1-20080215.120000,
Windows 2000 Hotfix KB948590, Security Update for Windows 2000 (KB948590),
Windows 2000 Hotfix KB948881-IE6SP1-20080313.120000 and Windows Malicious
Software Removal Tool - April 2008 (KB890830).

I have found after the first web site is loaded in IE 6 and going to other
web sites are much faster if I do not exit IE. This is on a Windows 2000
server and I have another client that has the same issue/Windows 2000 server
too. This did not seem to be happening before I did these updates. Anyone
else experiencing this same issue? I know Windows 2000 server is out dated
but I would like to know what could be done.

I found a posting in this group about removing the Google Toolbar and so I
tried it. This did fix my issue with the slow IE after Windows updates.

The Google Toolbar is essentially spyware.
