    - Can't move favorites with IE7 Hello, A domain policy hide the drive C:\ for the users in our domain. Only the admins can see and browse the drive C: . All users have full control permissionais for their profile folder. With IE 6, all users can full manage Favorites without any problem (add, delete and move). After installed IE 7, administrators still can full manage favorites, but the other users only can add favorites and folders.     - Newsgroup problem I fam using Internet Explorer 6 and Windows XP Professional. When I am in a discussion group I am unable to post a new question or comment. When I click on 'New" and then "Question" or "Comment" my computer makes a clunking sound and reverts to the page on which I started.     - Movies. I have a laptop with XP/2 and a desktop, also with XP/2. When I open either PC I have the default page as CNN news. CNN lists topics, some of which contain movie segments. I have the latest Shockwave installed on both machines. Neither PC will show these segments. I get black boxes where the moving content should be shown. Both machines show movie content from DVD.     - IE Homepage hijacked I think my IE 7.0 has been infected. Whenever I boot up my PC, IE launches automatically. This has never happened before. Moreover, after IE loads up, it does not display my Homepage (My Yahoo). Instead it displays a page called Microsys that touts a list of antispyware crap. I've uninstalled IE and reinstall it again. Didn't work. I've used AVG, Spybot, Adware to scan and delete any rogue software detected. Didn't work. I've look at the Startup folder, as well as the Win.ini file but didnt see any command to launch IE on bootup. I used Regedit and search for the string "Microsys" in the Registry. The http://localhost:8080 page displays itself in my "Firefox browser" however the same url does not display anything on IE, it gives 404 error.     - IE reports fatal error everytime the program is exited Disclaimer-I looked for a forum on IE7 but could not find one in the Technet list. Everytime I exit IE7 it generates an unrecoverable error window and says it must shutdown offering the choice of sending a report or not. I have searched high and low for any information on how to fix this problem. It is bad because it kills the core application therefore closing any IE window that is open or in use. I have unistalled IE7 and reinstalled but that did not change anything.     - Blank Script Errors ... Please help I'm having issues with Script errors. I tried deleting the account and files and made sure that Documents and Settings didn't have that user anymore. However, when I created a new account, the errors didn't disappear. When I tried to set a password and opened Users from Control Panel, even that User window showed script errors. When the window opens so I can check the script error, everything is blank, Line, Error, etc. I noticed this when I was browsing Overstock.com. When I click on Search(red button), the yellow triangle appears in the bottom left. And when I click on the triangle, the window opens up and there is nothing listed in the window. I might have had this problem before Overstock.com, however that's when I noticed it. I have Windows XP SP3, IE7, All updates.     - IE6 popup only with address bar or favourites My uncle brought his dell laptop to me with this problem OS Win xp home. IE6 if I try to open a site with the address typed inm to the address bar, or from the favourites drop down menu, a blank 'popup' window opens, taking a long time and taking 99% recources.     - I am Forced to restart DNS & DHCP in order to use my internet I am being forced to restart my DNS and DHCP services before accessing Internet Explorer 6.0, each time I use IE.     - How to beat the network firewall Hello group I am using IE6 browser. I just found out that one favorite file source (rapidshare.com) was banned from my network. I tried using the proxy servers which was asuccessful turnaround with firewall protection and my colleagues can access the facebook, friendster,etc, which they can't by direct connection the browser. However whenever I tried rapidshare (yes the webpage can come out but) I can't download the selected file as either the page just refreshes or nust remain static. When I type localhost:8080 in my Firefox browser on the same machine I am able to see the default tomcat page, which certiies that my tomcat is working fine and port 8080 is working for web server. Dear experts, I need to specify a high contrast style of vertical and horizontal scrollbars in IE windows, or, at least, lock the style of the scrollbars so that the web sites could not override it.     - Favourites are not in alphabetic order with "Add to favourites" This is a different problem from the simple question how to show favourites alphabetically for looking them up. in my PC folders and links are nicely ordered when I use the menu "organize favourites" or just look up an existing link. But for some reason (I guess I once backed up my favourites by simply copying the folder and then copied this folder back) my favourites do not show in alphabetical when I want to add a new link. This means it is hard to find the right folder where to save the new link. There does not seem to be any way to change this. I tried to use the "export favourites" function, then erased all sub folders in the "fabourites" folder and re-imported the exported favourites from the created file "bookmark.html, hoping that they would get sorted during the importation, but they appear again in the same disorder as before. How can I order my favourites again so that they show in the alphabetic order when I use "add to fvourites"? Maybe there is some external program?     - Unable to post forum questions/replies after update I ran WinXP SP3 upgrade, which downgraded IE from 7 to 6, and now I am unable to post forum questions/replies. I am posting this question from a different computer to get it to work. When I click on new question or reply to an existing one, it just re-loads the page and never pops up the dialog I am using right now to post this question. Ideas?     - IE6 creates secret folder to store temp file? My friend complains that she received a doc file via gmail, edited it, saved it, and then could not find the file again. To figure this out, I send myself a .doc file to my gmail account. I log in gmail using IE6, open the mail, click download (attachment), then click open (I did not explicitly save the file). Word opens the file, I used save as... to figure out where the file is and foud it in Local Disk (C:) documents and settings peter Local Settings Temporary internet files Content.IE5 T23HMKW5 Strangely, when I use file explorer outside of word I found that Temporary internet files is the bottomost level I can get to. There is no Content.IE5 folder. Also, using the same "save as..." dialog, if I navigate up to Temporary internet files, I cannot go back down to content.IE5 (no such folder) either. I found the files by searching for all .doc files on disk C and found a shortcut pointing to that file in the secret folder.
