I am delighted to say that I have, this week, come across a fix. The problem
appears to be the modem/router, which is a Belkin. They don't yet have a
firmware update but the workaround requires running a small program called DR
TCP. It doesnâ??t answer the question as to just why this suddenly started
happening but it resolves the problem.
Thank you for your suggestions.
