I subscribe to an RSS feed on my My Yahoo page that is a technical info
blog. When I click on any of its links, the webpage opens normally, but as
soon as it is fully opened I get this error:

IE cannot open the internet site http/www.... Operation aborted.

At this point I cannot print or save the page even though it is open
underneath the error-- all I can do is click on OK, then it closes the page.
When I tried printing it quickly with my Avant browser it also made the
browser shut down after closing the page.

What's up with that? Never saw it before in all my years on IE. What can I
do to keep the pages open -- it only happened with this one website.

Thanks,

pflu

Hi Pflueger,

Do you have any Addons installed (Yahoo toolbar)?

Not knowing your exact IE version use Tools>Internet Options - Advanced tab,
uncheck "Enable third-party browser extensions" to disable Addon toolbars
and Browser Helpers and then re-start your browser and navigate to the page.

If this fixes the problem, check for newer versions of your Addons from the
vendors, or leave them disabled, or uninstall any that you are uncertain of.

Regards.

Thanks Rob,

IE6. I tried your suggestion but it did not work. I got the page to stay
open once by a round-about use of an archive add on, but when I tried to
print the page got the error "Sorry, IE has to shut down". It only happens
on this particular blog.
