Good Afternoon,

I have been having ongoing issues with Internet Explorer 6.0 and secondary
windows being blank. I have tried almost 'everything'. I've read all of the
MSKB's that associate with this problem, and registered the DLL's that
everyone has posted on the internet. Even after re-registering it will break
again on several PC's. Re-Registering mshtml.dll resolves the issue every
time. I see many posts on how to fix it, but what is happened to where it
needs to be fixed multiple times!? We also run a lockdown environment, so
users cannot install anything.

Does anyone know the source of the issue? Any ideas would be greatly
appreciated.

Do a thorough check for malware, following all of the steps at one of these
Web pages.

So How Did I Get Infected Anyway?
For quite a few people it's by installing programs like Messenger Plus,
whose ads for malware don't identify the malware as such and try to convince
you that you owe it to the author. See also:

Don't ever do a "default" install of anything. Always choose Custom and see
what else is being carried along. Don't install any extras you're not sure
of.

We don't have malware on these PC's...we are in a locked down environment and
they are not able to install any applications.
