The web browser contains "page canâ??t be displayed" in a frame. I've noticed our ISA Server receiving GET requests and the problem frames don't get a 200 response for these requested frames. Should all GET requests get a HTTP status response from our (2000) ISA Server? Frames displayed correctly get the 200 response; the offending frame gets a TCP response, but no HTTP response. Sometimes a refresh works, most times not. The properties of the bad frame refer to a DNS error, with some message from C:\Windows.. ( I forgot the DLL, I'm at home now). My real question is, do all GET requests get some sort of HTTP response? The name resolution on this newly acquired domain may well be a problem.     - Why my .mht files now "not a valid Win32 application" In the course of my work, I save a lot of web pages as archive files = (mht.extension) for future reference. All of a sudden, when I try to = open any one of these .mht files by double-clicking (or right clicking = and using the Open command) I get a msg that says the file you are = trying to open "is not a valid Win32 application" and the file will not = open. Nor will the file open=20 If I right click and select Open With and then Internet Explorer, it = opens okay. But if I select Open With and then Microsoft Word, I get = the "not a valid Win32 application" message. But if I open Microsoft = Word, do a File | Open and navigate to the file, it opens just fine. I have never had this problem before and cannot imagine what is causing = this behavior, particularly since I can open the file, but just the = "hard way", I am running Win XP2, IE6 and Word 2002. The .mht files = were created using this computer. So far, I have not had any type of similar problem with any other file = types. Anybody have any suggestions as to what the problem might be? I find it = particularly puzzling that the error msg refers to a Win32 "application" = when the file I am trying to open is not an application. Will much appreciate any help.     - WWW IE MOZILLA CONTRAST The company has a blog: www.fictionframes.com If I type fictionframes.com into Mozilla address bar the site comes up. If I type fictionframes.com into IE address bar the site will not come up. If I type www.fictionframes into IE address bar the site will come up. I deleted temps, cookies in IE and cannot get IE to launch: fictionframes.com Is there a method to change this function?     - installing IE6 in addition to IE7 I think many web developer nowadays test its final product against Firefox, IE6, IE7, and sometimes Safari. But that's a big problem if we have IE7 and need to run IE6 inside of a virtual machine using VMWare or Virtual PC... since they take up a lot of memory. Is there a way to actually have IE 6 and IE 7 together on the same machine? Maybe Microsoft can release an IE6 that can be installed as a standalone app or somehow it can be hacked to do so?     - Invalid user name or password I have IE6 on XP SP2. When a user opens a web site on PC "A" and enters a name and password to get access they get "invalid user name or password". When I logon to PC "A" and enter the same name and password I get access ok. When I log that user onto PC "B" the same name/password combo also works ok. So I am thinking that the problem only on that one user on that one PC A. So is IE6 different for each user ? And can I reset IE6 back to defaults just for that one user ?     - Browser Helper Object - BHO I get a pop up screen about a BHO being installed. My Webroot Spy Sweeper program is asking me if I want this to be installed. Don't know what it is. Also, with IE, I can get to sites like Google, can type in my search item, but then Google will not do the search. At the bottom of my screen, I can see (green progress bars) that the search results are tyring to load, but after five of the green bars, everything stops.     - Outlook Express Error 0x8004010F,1400 Every time a WEB page, program, or I attempt to open Outlook Express I get the above error. I am runnings XP, SP2. I have tried reloading the program and still get the same errors. When the problem first started I was using only McAfee for protection. I have since added the Uniblue security packages for added security. My firewall is Microsoft's. Thank you for any help. PS: Tried using IE 7.0 with same problem.     - NON ENGLISH LANGUAGE CONFLICTS WITH JRE JAVA PLUGIN The Internet explorer version 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2 when we use locale English(United States) the cookie is getting created and the application is working fine but if we change the locale to French (Switzerland) the cookie gets killed.     - How to prohibit popups for certain sites? Normally popup blockers work that way that they deny popups and allow users to permit them for certain sites on a white list. I am searching for the other way round: I want to permit popups for all sites except those which I define in a black list. How do I do this? The black list handling should be either domain specific or allow wild cards. So if I define www.abcd.com popups from all pages containing the pattern (e.g. www.abcd.com\var\sub\index.html) should be suppressed.     - Can't Resolve Web Site From Network Hello, I have a very bizarre problem and don't know what else to try here. I cannot resolve a certain web site from inside my companies network but have no problem with others. I can resolve this site from outside the network on both versions 6 and 7. I have tried bother IE 6 and 7 internally as well, but with no success.     - Error when an opened Excel document links to another Excel documen - The user clicks on a link on our intranet - An Excel document is opened in IE - In this Excel document you can click on a button/column that updates the values in columns with values from another Excel-document (placed on a fileshare /file server) -This command does not work. It stops on "Workbooks.open xxx " (the specified second excel file). All of this works just fine if you perform it in Excel instead (save the file and open it from Excel instead of inside Internet Explorer), then the data from the second Excel-file is updated into the first Excel-file.     - IE Printer settings not saved I have a custom form size entered in the print media types for one of my printers (Eltron 2442 label printer). I need to use this media size repeatedly when printing from a website in IE 6. The problem is that the media size defaults back to "Letter" each time I open IE or go to another website. The custom form size is 8.50in. by 24in. so letter size will waste the form if selected. I am using Win XP Pro and went to the printers and faxes folder to make the change in the preferences for that printer. After restarting IE the change remains as it should in the printers and faxes folder but when you open IE and select File/Print (select the appropriate printer) the media size is right back at "Letter".     - Web page load problems Whenever I open a new instance of IE it has problems loading. An IE6 screen opens with the message in the task bar that the website has been found, but the webpage doesn't load.     - IE6 taking long to open ANY new browser window. I'm having a problem with my IE6. It takes appx 90 sec to load any NEW browser window and I notice that the globe in the upper rt corner of the window doesn't spin as it usually does while loading. After I did a restart, the problem with my IE started. Could there be a connection?     - IE 6 Script error-multiple unsuccessful attempts to fix I get the above error when I try to download updated AT&T Yahoo software (browser and security). I have an older version installed that works fine. The error states: "exception thrown and not caught" with a line #, character and code #'s and the URL: http://att.software.yahoo.com/ysftc/p/att/v4/results?papps=NSO&papps=NSS&papps=YPC I click on "YES" to continue running scripts, and I get a message saying I must be an administrator to install the software. I have tried to reinstall IE6, I have tried to change my administrator file (in case it was corrupt), I have run countless vrus and spyware scans without problems found, I have called AT&T and HP--they can't help. I have signed in as a different administrator on my machine and get the same error message. I have no problems installing other files downloaded with IE6, and otherwise my old AT&T Yahoo software runs fine. I am able to download and install this on my other computers with Win XP and Vista.     - Browser Helper Object Query Hi, We have a website running on an embedded web server on a device. We are using JSP + struts + tomcat We have a requirement where on click of a link on the web page, some executables should be downloaded on the client machine. These will be executed and will generate some files on the client machine. After successful generation, these will be uploaded back to the server. This should happen with no user intervention except the initial click on the link. We are thinking of developing a BHO which will load in to the browser and when the user clicks on the link, this BHO will download the executable, generate the binaries and uploaded them back to the server. The problem is that each time I go online or restart the laptop, the privacy settings in the Internet Options, changes to accept all cookies. And it automatically pops up some other website windows even I set those sites to be restricted. That happens everytime. I have tried to clean out all browsing history and use the spybot.com program to remove the spyware and adware that is on the computer. None of this has helped. How can I stop the privacy options from changing each time? And yes I change the Internet Options under privacy tab to "high" then press "apply" before leaving the Internet Options. Hello,

when content advisory is enabled, each page on my website loads after about
20-30 seconds delay. I suspect it's because i am running my website on a
diffrent port (55001).

how can i resolve this issue?
