We have a Windows XP workstation with SP2.

If we log in as one user, we cannot open any web pages "The page cannot be
displayed".

If we log in as any other user, there is no problem.

Your help is appreciated.

Regards,

Guido

IE version?

What anti-virus application or security suite is installed? What
anti-spyware applications (other than Defender)? What third-party firewall
(if any)?

Unexplained computer behavior may be caused by deceptive software

We are using IE version 6.

Also, we are using McAfee Total Protection for Small Business Advanced.

The same software is running all user profiles.

This problem only occurs when we log in as one particular user.

Guido

Run a /thorough/ check for hijackware (logged on as that User), including
posting your hijackthis log to an appropriate forum.

When all else fails, HijackThis v2.0.2
(http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.exe) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware with
assistance from an expert. **Post your log to
