Has anyone any idea why, when i click an item on a website for example, an
item in a shop, the new window that opens goes behind the main browser window?
Its driving me crazy, its not 100% of the time either, e.g. this editing
window opened up on top fine.
Is there a compatibility issue with some sites now?
Also if i open say 10 separate browser windows the screen will flash like
mad, is this a graphics card issue, memory or Vista, IE?
Thanks

Hi,
You may have an incompatible browser add-on.
See: http://www.enhanceie.com/ie/troubleshoot.asp
for troubleshooting information.

The troublesome program may not show up as an add-on. Disable other
security, privacy, ad-blocking programs to see if one of them is causing the
problem. Any program that interacts with Internet Explorer could be causing
this. The connection with IE may not be obvious, such as Google Desktop.

A firewall will probably not be causing this problem, but be sure to turn on
the Windows Firewall from Control Panel> Windows Firewall before disabling a
third-party firewall or security suite during testing.

Hope this helps,
Don

Does Vista have a TweakUI yet? ; ) (Ref. KB886217)

BTW I couldn't figure out what you were getting at with your other two
questions but they seem unlrelated to this symptom.
If you still need answers to them try opening a new thread, with more
relevant subject and more detail for your question.

Good luck

Old Article

Screen Flashes or Flickers When Active Desktop Is Enabled

You might try lowering Refresh Rate to 60 hertz and hardware acceleration to
one notch above none. If using NVidia card I believe they require full
acceleration.

Would you provide a link to a site that exhibits the described behavior?
