    - IE 7 and OWA 2007 I cannot paste into the message body of an owa 2007 message with IE7. Also message format is set to HTML and cannot be changed even though in the options it is set to plain text. Checked computer for spyware. None found. Logged in as different user and problem still exists. Uninstalled IE7 and problem was gone in IE6. Reinstalled IE7 and problem is back. When started without addons the problem is gone.     - IE7 odd behaviour I'm getting odd behaviour when using IE7 to google. Google returns a number of possible sites against a search word(s) but when I click on the link I get (most but not every time) a completely different site - or just a blank google screen.     - Not able to download IE7 / Vista Hi all, So this is similar to the help topic on Go!Zilla issues. Except, I don't have Go!Zilla. After installing the service pack update I can't download anything - pictures, documents, etc. The download dialog pops up then disappears without downloading the file.     - inabilty to highlight, select text in webroswer My mouse pointer has gone from an arrow, which would function properly on any IE page, namely highlighting text, images, etc, to cpoy and paste into... The arrow has been substituted with the closed fist (pan hand), or pointer finger. I cannot resolve this issue with all attempts adjust and restore mouse settings. Any help would be great.     - Playing you tube video I have XP home and have not had any issues using youtube. Recently I cannot get youtube to play video on this system. I did everything they suggested in help. I uninstalled and reinstalled Flash Player. I made sure java was correct and set parameters in IE7. Deleted cookies and temps but still cannot get video to play on youtube. I can play other videos fine. The video I place on youtube I can view fine on this computer but once it is on yourtube the player just spins this circle but never shows anything. Their help also says: "Ensure other applications like Quicktime, iTunes, Real Player, or Windows Media Player arenâ??t set as the default streaming application, as this might affect the video player."     - Multiple windows open when link is clicked in IE7 In Intranet, when a link is clicked, it open around 50 windows and does not allow to login and generate error message as "The webpage you are viewing is trying to close the window" . But when I copy the same link and paste in browser directly, it works fine. Also this problem does not exist when IE6 is used. This problem occur with IE7 and OS as Windows XP.     - Phishing filter The other day, I suddenly noticed that the icon for the Microsoft Phishing Filter under "Security" in Internet Explorer had changed to a yellow exclamation symbol (been disabled). When I clicked on it to re-enable it, nothing happened. Because I was having other security problems as well, I took the computer to a clinic and had a tech. run a full virus scan, and I specifically asked him to fix this problem. Now I have the computer back--and the icon is completely gone. How can I (who am not very computer-savy) locate the phishing filter and turn it back on?     - Bookmarks disappear I recently loaded IE 7 and noticed that, quite frequently, bookmarks in some of my 'Favorites' folders will not display when I click on those folders after the application has been open for awhile. There is no consistent pattern here to diagnose the problem. I have to close out IE and open a new briwser in order to see those bookmarks displayed.     - File Download Prompt Hi, I am having a problem with the File Download prompt in IE 7 and I need your help. On our Intranet home page we have a series of links that download MS Word files from one of our network drives. When we click on one of these links, we get the File Download dialog box which asks "Do you want to open or save this file?". It also has a checkbox that says "Do not show me this message again." If we check the checkbox, the dialog box never displays again, and for us, that's a good thing. The twist is that we also have an application on the Intranet (on a different server box from the home page mentioned above) that also opens MS Word documents. When this application opens a document, the File Download prompt is displayed, but WITHOUT the "Do not show me this message again." checkbox, so there's no opportunity for us to check the checkbox to get rid of the prompt. Is there any way for us to do this? Both servers mentioned above are running Windows 2003 Server with IIS 6.0. The Intranet Home page is written in ASP and the other application is ASP.NET.     - Internet Explorer 7 - cannot print Using Internet Explorer 7 on Vista Ultimate I get the following error when I try to print: "Cannot find 'file:///C:/Users/EVERYO~1/AppData/Local/Temp/Low/TCQM46RH.htm'. Make sure the path or internet address is correct." (the *.htm file name is different each time). I got this after using the system cleanup utility. The same thing happened about a month ago. I rebuilt my machine to fix it (needed rebuilding anyway) but I really don't want to rebuild it again. Looking on my c: drive the folder "c:\users\everyo~1\AppDate\Local\Temp" exists but "...\Low" does not. Anyone know how to correct this?     - infected cookies... anyone know the cure for stopping unwanted infected cookies?     - Reboot corrupts dig cert Hello - I have a problem with digital certificates that are issued from our HR vendor. When the vendor issues a new certificate, the user gets an email containing a link that automatically installs the certificate, we do not import them manually through the wizard. Everything works fine until the user reboots the pc. she can no longer access the hr site and the dig cert private key is non exportable. Our workaround is to delete and re import the certificate from the Desktop everytime the user reboots. Would anyone know what would be happening that would affect the private key this way.     - annoying mousepointer issue with IE 7 under vista Hello. Since a while I have a very annoying issue with internet explorer. It happens at all websites, although initially I thought it was only happening at the yahoo website. I've recorded a little clip on youtube that illustrates the problem: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AsyeUuI3lDA So, this happens to me at all websites (the mouse pointer making small jumps on certain areas of the webpage), not just on my yahoo mail website. I suspect it's because of some plugin or add on in IE that causes the problem, but I have so many plugins/addons, that it would be a hassle to turn them off and on one by one to figure out which one (or which combination of them) causes the problem. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue of how to figure out which plugin/addon might be causing the problem?     - IE Shortcuts Minimized After Using Show Desktop Button I am running IE 6 on Windows XP. I like to store shortcuts to certain websites on my desktop. I have noticed recently that for some reason when I click the show desktop button on my quick launch bar, followed by opening a shortcut to one of my favorite websites that I have on my desktop, that the window then opens minimized on the task bar. If I manually minimize all my windows, or use the keyboard shortcut Windows Key + M, and then open my shortcut, the window opens just fine in a full window. This problem doesn't occur with other shortcuts to files/folders/applications, just IE web page shortcuts. Is there any correlations between the Show Desktop button and IE web page shortcuts?     - IE7 hangs going to secure pages Folks- I run XP/SP2 IE7 and lately have been unable to get to secure web pages. When going to a secure page I get 5 blips on the progress bar and then no further activity is evident. The page I am leaving continues to be displayed. I get no error messages. I get no info messages. All else appears normal...I can go to other tabs...I can initiate other tabs...I can go back to my desktop and work, but I can't get to a secure page.     - IE7 crashing on exiting the program Hi, I have an HP Pavillion Slimline s7520n PC AMD64 XP media edition on which I am running IE version 7.0.5730.13. Every time I go to exit out of IE, the application hangs, a blank area near the top of the window is enlargened, IE crashes, and I am asked whether to send a report of the incident to MS.     - Internet Explorer Just recently, when I open Internet explorer, within a few seconds, I get a small blank page open, then my web pag redirects to another site, eg.. 888.com or daily play.com or some other search browser.     - IE7/Vista Problem A year ago, I was booted out of the office and allowed to work from home. To accomplish this, I was given a file (Data.exe 4.43 mb) which launches IE7 and connects me to the company web site at which I enter my signon codes and start working. I suspect (but do not know for certain) that this file sets up IE with all the settings (security and other) that they want for connection to their site. I've been doing this in WinXP SP2 and it's all insanely easy. Now I have a new machine running Vista Premium. When I attempt to run the file, IE7 does start but does not connect me to the company web site. Instead, it connects me to my IE default web page, or to a blank page if I remove the default. I've been in contact with my IT dept and was instructed to download the most recent version (from their site, after manually entering the URL) of the Citrix Presentation Server Client. Have done this and rec'd message that it installed successfully, but the result is no change. So far, IT has not responded about this. Is there anything I can check or tweak that would get Vista/IE7 to connect me to the company web site when I run the file? Thanks for any assistance.     - Bizarre IE problem I have this bizarre IE problem with my work computer. Usually, IE works fine. But around 4pm it will start to "hang" at the end of pages. The page loads, it renders fine, but it just sits there for a minute or so before it will start accepting input. After the 'hang', the page works fine. I think the problem is something to do with roaming profiles. I originally had a different computer, but at one point needed to swap it with one of the secretaries. The secretaries leave work at... 4pm. I think perhaps there is a shortcut or favorite pointing to the old computer and IE is waiting for a network timeout before proceeding. What confuses me is that it hangs for ALL pages, even ones I've never visited before.     - IE7 installation removes installed language Hi On a Windows XP Pro system I have the default input language as German with a German Keyboard. English (United States) with a US keyboard is also listed under "Installed services" under the Languages Tab in "Regional and Language Options" in Control Panel. At logon I can toggle to English for support purposes and this is how I want it configured. Now, when I install IE7 and reboot. English is no longer installed and the only language is German. If I try and add English (US) I get the following error: Windows could not properly load the English (United States) keyboard layout.     - Query in Excel/Temp Internet Files I am doing a Query in Excel 2003, using IE7, in Windows XP. Things go along just fine, up to a point. There are about 60 queries. Part way through I get a failure message: Run-Time error 1004: â??The file could not be accessed. Try one of the following: *Make sure the specified folder exists. *Etc.â?? Nothing has changed and it has been ok for a large number of Queries. Some times rerunning line ".Refresh BackgroundQuery:=False" will allow the query to run, but this is only a temporary fix at best. If I CLEAN OUT the Queries in â??temporary internet filesâ?? I am able to continue running the program. This has to be done manually from Windows Explorer. So it appears to me the â??cacheâ?? is not cleaning itself, nor am I able to change the size above 1024.     - "Save As" dialog always opens full screen Whenever I am downloading a file and I choose "Save As" the dialog opens full screen and cannot be resized. This can be a pain if I'm trying to view another window so that I know where I want to navigate to or when I want to pick a file name like others I've downloaded.     - New Tabs I have IE7 running on a terminal server. When I open a link from Outlook, IE7 will always open a new window. I have checked my tabbed browser settings and it is set to open "A new tab in the current window" when opening links for other programs. I can remedy the problem by Resetting Internet Explorer Settings on the Advanced tab of Internet Options. However, if I log off and log back in - I'm back to the same situation. This would lead me to believe it's group policy. However, there is nothing in group policy that appears to be driving this. I've only checked what I think applies to this situation. I'm going through all of the policies and verifying that nothing is configured in group policy for tabbed browsing. Can anyone else give some suggestions on what else to check?     - Issues with IE after Vista SP1 Install I installed the Vista SP1 because I had an issue w/ Windows Mail, could not delete old mail. Afterwards, the mail worked great, but all my other account users could not use the installed IE 7.0 properly. Any page which involved a script file would not fully load, there would be an error icon on the status bar in the lower left hand corner - (it said error with a yellow triangle icon with ! in it.) If you clicked on that icon to get details it crashes IE totally and required a restart. I have 2 admin accounts, mine worked, the other did not, and 1 general user, that account did not work either. After uninstalling SP1 everyone's account worked fine again. I spent 2+ hours on the phone with Microsoft support. They could not help me with this issue. They wanted me to unintall McAfee security, but I didn't want to do that, it was obviously a SP1 issue. After it got so late - I had to hang up since the next day was a work day.     - In IE7, subsequent tabs open VERY slow For the last couple of weeks, IE7 tabs have been opening VERY slow either by adding new ones manually, or even when a new tab needs to be opened for a dialog window. I've applied the latest IE7 update, and even uninstalled and reinstalled it and the issue still occurs. I've tried to duplicate the issue in Firefox, and it doesn't have the issue.     - HELP: IE stops uploading I am trying to activate my microsoft reader. I followed the direction for vista users, by opening IE under administrator. When I do this, after signing in in order to active, the uploading just stops. When I do not open IE under administrator, on the page will show a 'continue' button in order to continue activate (which then fails because you need to open IE under administrator).
