    - Current security settings do not allow file download When I try to download a file from zone.msn.com, I get an error message: â??Your current security settings do not allow this file to be downloaded.â?? I have XP SP2, IE7, DSL high-speed internet, and Auto updates work. I reset all zones to default level, closed IE7 and re-opened it. Iâ??ve rebooted. I went into Internet Options, Security, and made sure downloading files was enabled. As far as I can tell, the website is not in the restricted list.     - IE-7 Changes my cable setting to a LAN Proxy setting Once I updated to IE-7 I have to continually go to Internet Options and Un check the Proxy settings that have somehow set themselves. I never had this problem with IE-6, nor do I have the problem with Mozilla Firefox. Once I have corrected the setup it works fine until I have restarted my pc.     - Lag Time IE 7.0 The multisecond LAG between the time I try to open the IE 7 browser and the time it actually completes the load I am concerned with. When I hit the browser button it only half loads and the word "CONNECTING" appears in the upper left corner for several seconds before it finally figures out I want a blank page and loads the blank page.     - IE7 Won't Open Page This is very strange. I was doing some work online on my laptop that included setting up some affiliate programs with a company called Linkshare (at linkshare.com), which I did. However, now when I try and get back to the site, all I get is a blank page. It shows it is 'done' on the bottom of the page in the bottom menu bar, but nothing comes up. I can connect to it on my wife's computer which is on the same network and I've tried disabling all the security settings, and still I can't connect to that particular site. In addition, I've deleted my temporary file, history file, cookies, and forms. Still no luck. I have no problem connecting to any other web site. Anyone have any idea what could be going on?     - IE7 -- Connection Problems HELP needed Greetings! I was using IE7 to connect to Verizon (www.verizon.com) today to pay my bill. The browser seemed to hang up and not let me sign in and get to my payment screen. I experimented by trying to accomplish the same thing using Firefox 2 and had no problem. I was able to sign in and proceed from one screen to another until the bill was paid -- all with no hanging up. I would appreciate advice and/or information as to why this might be.     - Problem with US Air website shutdown I have one laptop PC (a new Dell) that is running Windows XP Pro and IE 7.0. When this one laptop accesses www.usairways.com and tries to search for flights or tries to log into his account, he gets a "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close". I am trying to determine what is causing the problem on his laptop - his is the only one that is doing this in my company. My laptop (also a Dell laptop with the same software) does not have this problem. The only difference that I can determine between the problem laptop and my laptop is that my laptop is older and had IE 6.0 installed prior to updating to IE 7.0. As I recall, the problem laptop came with IE 7.0 installed on it. After several hours of software reinstallation (IE and Java), comparing IE settings between the good laptop and the problem laptop, changing/diabling antivirus software, changing firewall settings, I made no progress on determining the cause of this problem. Then I decided to do one final thing, I went under Programs - Accessories - System Tools - Internet Explorer (No Add-ons). When I run IE with no Add-ons the usairways.com website runs fine. This tells me that I must have a problem with one of the add-on versions conflicting with something on the website. Anyone have any ideas? Has anyone else got this problem?     - Adobe and IE7 When trying to open a PDF document on a secure website, There is a pop up saying it will take a couple of minutes to generate page, page will refresh into another tab, then nothing but a blank page when status download bar at bottom of IE7 is finished.     - Vista IE7 problems Since I have upgraded to Vista, I have been having a problem with saving favorites. When I go to save a page in favorites by clicking the 'plus-star' button and then 'add to favorites', then using the dropdown list of folders, I find there is nothing on the dropdown list. This would be ok but whenever I close explorer and then return to use the dropdown list again, there is nothing on it.     - Delay with IE7 Start up I am having a 5-20 second delay in IE starting up after clicking the IE Quicklaunch, or double clicking the Desktop Icon, or startmenu icon.     - Did Vista Break IE 7's ability to drag URL from address bar to des This sounds like a very silly question - but I think Vista broke something (maybe by design) or perhaps something is wrong with my installation. When dragging a url from the address bar in the past (to the desktop for example) it would create an internet shortcut. I could then later click these and the web page would open, or drag and drop them back into an open IE and the itnernet explorer would navigate to them, etc. When doing a file properties on them, they would show as a web document of extension .url - . After installing Vista Ultimate and using it I now see that when I do this a url file is created - but its different and if I double click on it it does not work - and the icon for th efile is blank -(pure white) - and it no longer shows as a web document when I look at its properties. It did save the title of the web page as the title of the document - but thats all. There is nothing in the url box under details and no description or notes. If I go to the file afterwards and click on properties and then details and manually paste in the url into details - then the file will work when double clicking, etc. but its still different because its not a web document. Something seems very broken because internet explorer can not save the web page's proper information as a internet shortcut when dragging the url from the address bar. I can not print images from internet. Everything is converted to text. I
tried reloading print driver, I have tried everything. Even the print preview
shows everything in text - where's the image? Example: mapquest - I used to
be able to print mapquest - now I can't. I loaded MS Vista and now everything
is messed up. Can anyone help me?

Which make and model of printer....?

Was this an upgrade to Vista or a clean install? Was the printer connected
to the PC during the upgrade or clean install?

Will it print from other applications correctly?

More info needed.
