i've just started using IE 7 with vista and the majority of web sites i view
appear very small, some with all the information crammed into less than half
the page.

i've tried altering the text size setting and zooming in but both of these
just knock all the info out of kilter.

any ideas please?

thanks

Change your display resolution. Evidently the "majority of web sites"
that you visit are designed for windows with lower resolution.
E.g. it used to be 800x600 but now 1024x768 seems average.

Yes, but if he's using an LCD monitor, then changing the screen resolution
away from the native resolution will make everything go a bit fuzzy and lose
clarity. It's a compromise both ways.

Try setting it 1024X??? as close as you can get to the monitors native WxH
ratio. Oh to have young eyes again. Unless you're running a 20", or
larger, monitor, 1280 is too high for my eyes. I'm on a 19" monitor and
have it set at 1024X768.

"Highest" would be the wrong direction and make your symptom worse.
