My IE7 installation on WinXP Pro has stopped displaying CSS colors -
no background colors, CSS font colors are ignored. Short of trying
the Reset Internet Explorer settings under Tools, Internet Options,
Advanced, is there a setting or registry key that would control this
behavior? IE is not totally ignoring CSS; font family designations,
layouts, etc., are being displayed.

How this happened is a mystery, though I suspect it was related to an
installation of the Web Accessibility Toolbar. I was typing in the
Google toolbar search box, when my screen redrew without the
background and font colors. I can find no related setting in the
toolbar - toggling CSS simply toggles the remaining CSS styles that
are currently being displayed.

I would appreciate any suggestions!

Check the IE accessibility options (Tools, Internet Options, Accessibility).
