Hello,
I can't save any website in this "prodect mode", I get always the error:
"The website can not saved at this place"
I have tried any place on my harddisk, different formats and different
codeapages, no luck.

It's very annoying that I must disable this "prodect mode" first before I
can save something, is there any setting for this?

If the reason is the "security" in the "prodect mode", why I can send this
site via eMail in this case and the option is not disabled?

Peter

Hi,
I'm not sure that Protected Mode is the problem, but that can be disabled
from Internet Options> Security> Internet Zone> uncheck "Enable Protected
Mode." Then close and reopen IE.

Before doing that, try clearing the cache from Internet Options> General>
Browsing History> Delete> (next screen) Delete files. Also, set the size of
the cache to 60-80 MB... Internet Options> General> Browsing History>
Settings.

Hope this helps,
Don

Have you made sure you have permissions for the folder where you're trying
to save the page?

Hello,
@Don Varnau Temporary internet files(Cookies and form data too, who
knows...) are cleared and size is set to 200mB.
This can not be the solution, I should do this all the time I want to save a
website??

@Frank Saunders, yes I, the user, have full access to the folder.

Peter

What if you right click the IE icon on the desktop and choose Start Without
Add-ons?
Or go to Start | All Programs | Accessories | System Tools | Internet
Explorer (No Add-ons).

Hi,
No you should not have to clear the Temporary Internet Files every time you
want to save a webpage. It's a good first step to take with problems of this
type.

As Frank advised, try saving a page with browser add-ons disabled.

Could a third-party security program be causing this? What's installed?
