    - E-mail error I use IE on Vista Home. From my contact list I add them to a Group List. Somehow when I e-mail a person from my contact list, who's also on my Group List, the entire Group List receives the e-mail. I erased the Group List in favor of the Individual List.     - Other Language for IE7 I'm using english Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 with installed hungarian Multilanguage User Interface. I'd like to install the hungarian version of Internet Explorer 7. But I can't, because the Windows language and the IE7 language are not the same.     - The AXIS Media Control could not be registered. I'm receiving a message: The AXIS Media Control, which enables you to view live image streams in Microsoft Internet Explorer, could not be registered on your computer. , when trying to connect to our IP camera's. This is not a problem using the Firefox browser. Tried to reinstall the AMC (Axis Media Control) msi file and that did not help. Also enabled all ActiveX settings within IE and that did not help.     - Internet Explorer in Vista 64 bit (Home Premium) I only have Live One Care for security etc. and am using Vista 64 bit O/S. I can brouse in AOL and everything works well there. M/S IE was working fine On my original start up with Vista 64 and then I lost it. I downloaded full latest version of Live One Care (which does not indicate any problems) and this seemed to cure the problem. However I have lost the use of IE yet again and L1C tech people say there is nothing wrong with their side of things. So Where do I go from here? Diagnosis says there can be Firewall blocking but it states that M S firewall is properly configured to allow internet activity. Have contacted AOL my ISP and as I can use their system without problem they say its MS. Have been going round in circles for weeks now! Any help would be appreciated.     - IE7 won't connect to my printer's embedded web server I get an HTTP Error 400 when I type in the IP address of my HP2600 networked printer.     - Microsoft Money 2003 Authenication problem w/IE-7 installed Help needed. I just recently installed IE7 on my computer and for some odd and unknown reason I cannot sign-in into Microsoft Money 2003, using the .Net Passport service. I receive an error message stating that the log-in attempt has fail. I have applied the authenication fix for IE7 because I 've had an authenication problem trying to use Outlook Express 6.0(?) with IE7. After applying the fix OE6 now works properly, but not Microsoft Money 2003. Mind you, I can still log in if I state that I am working offline and do not need the .Net Passport features. However, when I press the SIGN-IN button, everything works as if I had not used the offline option to sign-in. This problem was not present with the earlier version of Internet Explorer (me thinks it was Ver 6), but only after I installed IE7.     - IE restarts after being closed normally I'm getting a strange issue with IE7 (Vista OS) When i close the last IE on my desktop window, I get the 'IE has stopped working' message followed by the 'IE is restarting' msg then a new window opens at the homepage. If i have multiple IE windows open they close normally until I close the last one, when this always happens. I have tried closing the window using the X close button. or clicking the Windows logo and then Close, and the same thging happens each time.     - Script problems in IE7 running on Windows Server 2003 Almost every page I visit pops up a scripting error in IE7. Just on this site I received an "object not recognized" popup alert--asking if I want to debug or not ..... How can I fix and diagnose when it seems it is the browser that is having the problem? Does anyone have any suggestions? This is, to say the least, very frustrating. I have to click through scripting errors when visiting what I would think is a basic page. All of the errors seem to be unrecognized alerts about JavaScript code. Is there a handly little "cure all" IE7 problems program that I can obtain?     - new internet explorer keeps crashing please help! i am working in uganda and when i arrived here, i regretably downloaded the latest version of microsoft explorer (7.0, i think). since downloading it, every time i send an email from my work account, an error message pops up and explorer shuts down. the internet is very slow here so having to deal with this on top of a very slow internet is quite frustrating! i would like to go back to an older version if possible. if not, i will likely look to other non microsoft web explorers for less frustrating service. hope you can help. thanks!     - IE 7 Crash I'm a french IE 7 user on tree XP computer. I have a very annoying problem with IE 7 on each. This issue comes everytime I'm performing this operation : I use the search bar (on the top right) a lot, so sometimes I need to clear the list of my previous searchs. To do so, I go in the search field, I press the bottom key, then I highlight and remove all of the items (using the supp key). The issue comes when i use the search bar for a new search : My search suggestion list was cleared as described before. I go in the search field, I type my phrase and then IE crash (and lose all opened pages :( ). I need to reopen IE and retype my phrase to make it work. As it happens on my tree computer, I think it is an IE 7 bug (tell me if i'm wrong) Here is my question : Is this bug known from MS ? If it is an IE 7 bug, is there a patch planned ?     - Visual Studio Just-In-Time Debugger error message When I have the Internet Explorer 7.0 open, a Visual Studio Just-In-Time Debugger window appears wih the following message "An unhandled win32 exception occurred in msn_sl.exe [784].". Most of the times, the file reporting the error is â??msn_sl.exeâ??, which belongs to the Windows Live Toolbar, although from time to time, other programs also report a similar error. I also noticed that the number inside the square brackets is not always the same, even for the same program file. Does anyone have any idea of why this is happening and how can I stop this recurrent behavior? Thank you very much in advance for all the attention given.     - Some text and links missing when viewing web pages. I'm having an odd problem that I can't seem to find any information on. When I view some, websites I am unable to see some lines of text or some links unless I left click in the void and drag my mouse and then they show up then they will disappear again after moving the mouse away. I have already updated to IE 7 and it did not help. I am at a loss. This is one of the websites that I'm having the problem at. http://www.cookingforengineers.com/ This is a list of links that are suppose to be at the top. Table of Contents, Community Forums, Ingredients Dictionary, Recommended Reading, Marketplace, Giftshop, Michael's Blog I only see the words "Table" in the first link and "Recommended Reading" in the fourth link, I don't see any others. If I click were the link is suppose to be I will go to the page. These are just random websites, nothing I put together, and it only happens on very few but it is extremely agravating.     - IE7 doesn't start After many months of use, IE7 stopped opening, hanging on one green bar. So I uninstalled and reinstalled. It's doing the same thing: I click on the icon, a window opens and it hangs there -- with one green bar. It's not the Internet connection because Foxfire opens up.     - DIVS & HTML I have two sites where some people can only see the pictures on the website but no text. I can see it fine on my laptop and desktop.. NO CLUE where to start looking. The website was created in dreamweaver 8 and is setup using tables.     - Ad blocker for IE7 recommendation needed. I just dumped Norton Internet Security 2005 and installed McAfee Security Suite 10. Yikes! Look at all the ads that are all over the web pages I have been browsing for years ad-free. Norton contained ad-blocking and pop-up blocking that McAfee doesn't seem to have.     - Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage I have been using IE ver7.0.5730.11 for several months now with no problems ... until today. Now I cannot connet to ANY website ... all I get is "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" I have an internet connection and can access my email and newsgroups through Outlook express.     - Web Site Videos Lock up IE 7.0 When I try to watch a video of Heros from the NBC web site, the video stops and my browser (IE 7) locks up. This occurs randomly at different times and I have to close IE 7 and restart again at the point it locked up at and continue until the next lock up.     - IE 7 Closes All Windows When Closing One I have a new problem. IE 7 crashes when you close a tab but that has recently gotten better but still happens off and on. My new problem is that anytime I close a window any other window still open now closes as well!!! This is driving me nuts! If I do a search and open multiple windows (which I got in a habit doing because closing tabs crashes IE 7) if I want to close one of them because I'm finished with it IE 7 now crashes, everything is gone!     - CBS.log error Ran system scan (SFC/scannow). Got message: "Resource protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.     - Displaying PDF as plain/text Hi all, I was just wondering if there is any way to display the contents of a PDF file without swapping mshtml out and replacing it with Adobe's reader? I would like the browser to attempt to display the PDF file as plain text, even if it's just a bunch of gibberish. The problem I'm having is that IE always prompts me to download the file instead of trying to display it. The reason I want IE to behave this way is for performance statistic gathering purposes.     - IE7 issue I'm seen this on two computers so far upgrading from ie6 to ie7 using microsoft update on a windows xp pro sp2 macine. AFter the update and rebot I attempt to launch ie7 and instaed of attempting to go to my home page its attempting to forward to http://go.microsoft/com/fwling/?LinkId=74005 also a popup box prompting me for a puser name and password to connect to bombay.alliance.com stating the server bombay.alliance.com at Alliance Internet Gateway requiresa user name and password. My initial thought was this was a virus or malware causing it so I ran a virus scan a pestscan and removed everything. Still no luck. I went so far as to rebuild the pc using the manufactuer supplied restore CD and OS.     - IE7 & Chm Hello, I have a situation with a help file. The problem started after the installation of IE7. The issue is: Help files on my system works fine except the popups. In help file I have hottext when click on the that a popup window will display the definition of hottext. On all machines with IE7 when click on the hottext the popup window pops up but not text in the window, text area is blank. Note: same help file works fine on all the machines with IE6. Please help.     - Opening up iexplorer.exe as a new process We are experiencing a large 100MB per click memory leak with IE7 and InfoPath 2007 browser based forms using the Rich Text control from MS and MS was able to duplicate this issue. When InfoPath opens up, it brings up a pop-up window with the InfoPath form in it and this is the form that leaks. But when the InfoPath window is closed the memory is still pinned until the parent iexplorer.exe process is killed. Is there a way to open up InfoPath forms in IE7 as a new process and not just a window under the existing process? This way it can leak memory and when the window is closed, the memory will be released. InfoPath opens up the Rich Text Editor in an IFrame and apparently the IFrame pins the HTMLEditor control.     - IE7 I just installed IE7 on a client's box. When you open IE it just sits on a blank screen and the tab says "connecting" but it's cut off at the bottom. I can ping from the box. Mozilla works fine. I have uninstalled and reinstalled IE7. This didn't work. I even installed XP SP2 again and still nothing.     - I think IE 7 is causing a Windows problem I hope someone can help with this issue as it's been going on over a year. I had a Gateway computer on Windows XP Pro. I upgraded IE to 7.0 about a year ago, and shortly thereafter is when a strange problem began. Occasionally and intermittently when the computer would boot up, the desktop icons would not load, and the network connection icon in the tasktray would be missing~~and I would have slow or NO internet connectivity. A reboot would usually fix the problem, until it would again occur a couple days or a week later. I did eventually discover that if I used task manager to end task on explorer.exe and then restarted it from the Run command, all would be well without a reboot. So, it would then appear that IE 7 was somehow intermittently preventing Windows from completely booting. There were no errors in event viewer. Well, several weeks ago, I got a new computer, a Dell. It came preloaded with Windows XP Pro and Service Pack 2. When it arrived, I downloaded all the Windows updates and began putting my programs on. Everything went fine UNTIL I upgraded IE 6.0 that came with the machine to IE 7.0, and immediately afterward I began having the same problem on the new machine as with the old one! Therefore, it would definitely appear as though something is buggy in IE 7.0 The exact version is: 7.0.5730.11. I have searched Google and Microsoft's knowledgebase and am unable to find out why this is happening. If anyone has heard of this quirky problem, please let me know the resolution, if any.     - MS IE Redirects my home page to IE7 GetItNow page upon first starting Decided to finally update to IE 7 on my machine and after what was thought to be a successful install (including the patch and security update) every time I first open IE the browser redirects from my set home page (google) to the stupid IE & Get It Now page. I see they clearly are trying to get people to upgrade but as I now have IE 7 installed it seems that is should go away lol.     - empty message box during certificate installation/removal from IE Hi, I accidentally encountered one simple UI bug which is possibly due to some missing string resource in IE 7.0 in Windows XP SP2. When I right clicked in a HTTPS web page and clicked properties -> ceritificates and tried installing the certificate which was not from a trusted CA, one empty message box has popped up with title as "Error". But the certificate was installed successfully. Similar empty message box has appeared when the certificate was removed too. The account I was logged on was a limited user account. And, while they/some might help others (doubting it), I thought I'd post an update in order to perhaps save others some time and effort. Here's what I HAVE DONE that HAS MADE NO DIFFERENCE. #1 I disabled the Dell add-on in IE7. This file is called BAE.dll. In today's research efforts of quelling my issues, I did run across some interesting info on this file. I don't however, believe that it applies to the Dell add-on. But still, there's no need for this add-on and it's now gone. I honestly thought that it had fixed my issues, but tonight I pushed IE and apparently disabling/removing it has not. Now I have not disabled all add-ons, I don't believe that is the problem. Besides, I won't do that, it ain't right....Java, Flash, etc.... we use them, we like them, we need them. A fine example - my live stock quotes rely on them and I'm not about to not get what I want, let alone need. Besides, I've read from many others that it makes no difference. #2 As suggested, I've been watching the stats on GDI objects in my Task Manager as I browse around in IE. It was suggested that if these objects reached 9000 (max 10,000), that the rightclick//newtab//menu issues might arise. Sadly, in really testing IE tonight, I had numerous windows/tabs open (more than I would even ever consider pushing my luck with) ---- and my stats read only 4000 when all went sour again. Hence, my discovery of the BAE file removal making no difference. Being way below 9000, it's beginning to look like GDI objects may not be "the answer" (or perhaps better said, not the only answer) to these IE issues. Closing numerous windows down to where my iexplore.exe GDI stats now read 2022 is still giving me issues as we speak. I can right-click and then suddenly I can't 2 secs later (and I haven't even tried to open a new tab. Only testing the right mouse button). I have to keep closing tabs/windows in order to just keep working. While my GDI stats/tabs/windows counts are going down, my IE problems are only increasing. Funny though, all was fine @ 2000 on the way up; it took getting up to 4000 before issues arose.... and now on the downslope of reducing the numbers, I'm still having issues; in fact the menus just disappeared. Nothing I do is enough to continue (Even though I do see the GDI stats going down with every 'close'. It does appear as though Windows is releasing memory as I close ea tab/window). I will have to reboot at the rate I'm going in order to regain the norm that is (and should be) expected while working in IE. One final note re these GDI stats...iexplorer.exe is my next highest GDI count sitting at 888 (my IE probs have occured while only running IE and maybe Word/Notepad and/or a couple of folders open at the same time). It all just doesn't make sense regarding the 9000 count max !!?! :( Again, reminder in case anyone thinks it matters in my scenario..... I'm running Vista Home Prem, Intel 2.0 GHz processor, and 4GB RAM. #3 Now I've 2 options left. I do doubt that either will work, but perhaps Opt#2 might; it would depend on my present settings, and that's my next attempt. Why not Opt#1? Because I don't open 50+ tabs (even though I might love to be able to just to say I was able to ;)....... I've found these 2 posts regarding the prior/aforementioned IE7 issues: ------ OPTION #1 There is a maximum number of tabs, but I doubt that you would be hitting that: If you are a heavy user of Tabs (50+) you may start to see problems - new tabs and windows may fail to open, right click may not work, programmes may not start. If you experience this problem you can increase the number of tabs that can be opened by editing the registry.     - Not able to un-install IE7 I have run into a bad problem. I was not able to access few applications on IE7 so I tried uninstalling it.     - IE Page Suddenly, when I click the blue E icon, I get the MSN home page. Before this, I always got a screen that said Internet Explorer, had a link to my Hotmail (my primary is msn. mail), the other IE features. I have IE6. MSN support was no help (surprise!). You didn't say what version of Windows you have so I'll guess XP:

Go to Control Panel > Network Connections > right-click on your internet
connection > select Properties > checkmark 'Show icon in notification
area when connected'.

Now you will see when your computer is downloading or uploading from or
to the internet.
