Internet Explorer toolbars do not auto-hide like the Taskbar, unless you
use Internet Explorer in full-screen view (press F11).
Otherwise, three IE 7 toolbars can be turned off (but not hidden, like
the Taskbar): the Menu bar, the Links bar and the Status bar.
Right-click on a blank area to the left of the Command bar and remove
checkmarks as you see fit.
Can't help you with third-party toolbars.
I believe the tab bar can also be turned off if you turn off
tabbed-browsing. The search box can be removed with this technique:
"You can hide IE 7's search box..."

You may be able to find a third-party add-on that will do what you want.
Search the web.
If you are new to Windows XP or Windows Vista and IE 7, you will find
them very different from Windows 98 and IE 4. Of course, 'different' is
not necessarily 'better'...
