I am switching from firefox back to explorer. The one feature I miss
is the ability to increase font size on a page with ctrl + and
decrease it with ctrl -.

In explorer, those commands increase and decrease the size of the text
but they do it by zooming the whole page. When I get the text big
enough, part of the page is not visible. So this is not really useful.

Can I make the font bigger but not zoom the whole page?

Thanks much!

Sarah

Page icon | Text Size
Some pages will not allow this.

If you have a mouse with a scroll wheel, try this: While holding down the Ctrl
key, see if rotating the scroll wheel will change the font size. This may not
work on all web pages.

Assuming IE7.
On the Page toolbar button choose your desired text size.

From the Menu Bar Click View,
Text size,
Select the size you want, from very small to very large.

Thanks everyone, I see now. I wish there were a keyboard shortcut
rather than doing this tedious mousing every time I get to a page,
like there is for firefox.

Thanks...

Thanks Frank. I did that, and then selected a size with the arrow keys
or Alt-G. It chagnes the preference but the text size does not
change???

Well, I have to modify that. It works on google groups, but not on
some other web pages.

Some pages, more and more every day, set the text size and tell IE not to
change it.
