I have been using IE7 that came with the laptop I recently purchased. Mostly,
it's been fine, but I have one problem I can't seem to solve.

The font for buttons, combo boxes and text fields on most web sites appears
as a very small Times Roman (I would estimate maybe four point type). It's
effectively impossible to read. I can not figure out how to change it, and
it's a major problem.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Click on View
Select Text Size
Change to Larger

Or, you might try Tools>Internet Options>General Tab
Click on Accessibility Button
Under formatting check the following:
Ignore font styles specified on webpages
Ignore font sizes specified on webpages
Click OK twice

Thanks for your advice, but I don't think that's it. The problem is not with
all of the fonts on the page, only the active elements (buttons, popup menus
and dialog boxes). If I use those "Accessibility" options, the tiny font is
still displayed on the active elements.

Would you mind posting the link to one of these webpages? Try using the zoom
shortcuts

Zoom in CTRL+PLUS
Zoom out CTRL+MINUS

Enable clear type so font doesn't appear blurry

1. Click on â??Toolâ??
2. Click â??Internet Optionsâ??
2. Click â??Advancedâ?? Tabs.
3. Under Multimedia, Uncheckthe â??Always Use ClearType for HTMLâ??.
4. Click OK
5. Close and Restart Internet Explorer 7.

I have two Vista machines. They both have just plain Arial. Only the
machine that a;so has Office 2007 also has Arial Narrow.

Jeff, I am experiencing this problem, too. I just bought a Dell Precision
M4300 and have hated Vista & IE 7.0 from Day 1. Can you please tell me how
to install the "Arial" font. My computer tech skills are limited. Thank you.
