I review articles on websites and quite often I search the page I am
currently on for keywords. I would like to set "Find on this page" as my
default search provider so I can just use the search field up at the top of
IE to look for keywords within the article instead of clicking on the
down-arrow and selecting "Find on this page".

Has anyone out there accomplished this?

Thanks in advance,

Jim

I knew when I wrote this message that someone was going to bring up the F3
key. Thats not my question, so I'll be a bit more clear.

I want a FIELD on the IE toolbar that does a "find on this page" without any
keystrokes needed to bring up the search box. There is a search field in IE
7 and you can change default providers for this search utility. Has anyone
found a way to change the default provider to "find on this page".

Thanks again,

Jim

It's already there when you click on the "search providers" down arrow.
