I am running Windows Vista Home Premium with IE7. I erased my favorites
somehow, so I tried to import a saved bookmark.html file. The import worked,
but I still cannot see my favorites from the Favorite menu.

If I try to add a favorite, I can select one of the folders that I imported,
but I still cannot be the favorites in the drop down menu.

Hi,
Is the Favorites folder in the default location?
C:\Users\accountname\Favorites

I think you have the permissions/integrity level issue covered at
http://www.winhelponline.com/blogs/49/Unspecified-error-when-adding-a-link-to-Favorites-in-Windows-Vista.html

That procedure is a bit complicated. Please post back if you need additional
help with it.

Another solution may be to move the imported favorites to another directory,
create the appropriate folders/sub-folders at C:\Users\accountname\Favorites
then copy individual favorites to those folders, rather than copying
folders.

Hope this helps,
Don
