When I used XP, I had an extensive Favorites list that included a number of
categories with several web sites in them.

When I would click a particular category, and arrow would point to the
various web sites within that category. I would then click on the particular
site.

I exported the Favorites folder to my newly-installed Vista Home Premium.
Now when I click a particular category, I have to click the category again
to have a drop-down list of the sites. This "drop-down" list stays expanded
until I click the category again.
It is a small point to have to re-click a category to have the drop-down
list disappear - but an irritating one.

Is there a workaround for this?

TIA

It's default behavior in IE7 so WYSIWYG.

Check (in Options, Advanced tab, Browsing section)

Close unused folders in History and Favorites*

* Takes effect after you restart Internet Explorer
