I have a simple webpage. When I print the content to the file under Windows
XP from IE7
some letters are missing (for example text CCO).

Does anybody know why some elements are missing?
Page is included as an attachment.

Just when you print to Generic/Text printer driver?

Looks fine in Print Preview?

Printing to file? FWIW looks Ok to me
However, this line seems to have no effect
<body onload=print()>
E.g. no immediate print setup requested
when I dragged your attachment to an IE window.

Yes,
I have seen correct contents during page print preview.

I have similar effect on Vista, when the Generic/Text printer is not market
as default printer on/for the system.
So if you will print the content to the file (in both cases) under VISTA
(text printer is marked as default and not)
then in one output you will see text CCO in file (default printer) and in
second one not (text printer is not set as default system printer).

I did the same test with Firefox and printing works properly on Vista
(doesn't matter if is it default system printer or not).
So by me there is the problem with printer initialization under IE and some
other issue with printing on XP (I never received proper result on XP under
IE). I did test with Firefox on XP and printing works properly to (with or
without setting text printer as system's default). So it's probably related
to printing form IE at all.

By the way, I open the page using File/Open/Browse and then java script
opens a window with print command.
