You need to allow users the to be able To REMOVE those ugly stars that link
to favorites on the command bar.. The only way i found out to do this is add
CommandBar to the registry. and disable it that way, but then you cant use
Tab browsing or they will still show up.. So I Like tab browsing, but HATE
the favorite stars.. So I would reather use FireFox So I get what I want,
Instead of whats forced, People like control and customization and if they
cant find what they want here, they will go were they can.. I know others
feel this way also just search the web, and what could it hurt by making it
an OPTION instead of forcing users to have it on the front page. is there any
other tweaks to remove them?? If not, I would suggest maybe adding this as a
feature to the next update..

Microsoft offers pointers to many shells (customize to your hearts content) for IE here:

I personally have been using Avant for a few years and it gave me tabbed browsing with IE long before
Firefox.

Unless you're running Vista, no one /forced/ you to install/use IE7, Joe.
