We just built a new building in location 2.

I moved 1 of the BDC's from location 1 to this building in location 2. How
do I get the BDC in location 2 to talk to to the PDC in location 1?

By the way, all of our ports except the ones that we need on the router's
firewall are blocked. I'm not sure if there is a special port that this comm
is suppose to talk over.

Hello MarkH,

You talk about PDC/BDC, do you use NT4?

Best regards

We have 3 Win2000 SP4 Domain Controllers. Two of these, the PDC & 1 BDC at
location 1 and 1 BDC at location 2.

I went to AD Sites and Services, setup a new site (which is my location 2),
setup the subnet with the router's static IP address and subnet mask, moved
the server that is located at location 2 to the new site and associated it
with the IP address of that location.

The server in location 2 is a DNS server. There is also a DNS server in
location 1.

Still unable to replicate.

Please bare with me, this is my 1st time doing this and my Windows 2000
Server book doesn't tell me much.
