Hi all,

I have 6 Domain controller in Windows 2000 Advanced Server. All of them I
sets as Global Catalog. One of them get failure in the hardware and I didn't
have full backup.

I try to fresh install the windows but I get error when running DCPromo "The
replication operations encountered a database error"

In the event viewer I see error in NTDS General with Event ID 1168.

Could you help me to fix this problem?

Best regards,
Cahya

I'm guessing you haven't cleaned up your metadata before doing this.

Hi Paul,

I try to run that procedur but it's look like that I was delete all server
names manually via ADSIEDIT before running ntdsutil. Now, I cannot found the
server name when I use ntdsutil.

Is there any other way to cleaned up metadata? I was check in all
Server,DNS,FRS there is no that server name any more.

Thanks for your appreciate.

Best regards,
Cahya
