You missed the point completely. You can easily transfer your Contacts by
simply using the same data file or copying them from your previous data
file. You simply don't import them. Importing has never been the correct way
to transfer Outlook data.
We have also documented countless times that Outlook 2007 contains a bug
that does not permit the user to remove and re-add the Outlook Address Book
Service. That bug was reported in the beta. I have no expectation that it
will be fixed. I have no expectation that Help files are 100% accurate. The
workaround is simply to create a new Outlook profile.
