    - Force Outlook to use only one contacts folder (2003) XP Pro, Outlook (Office) 2003 SP3 (SMTP / POP3 mail, no Exchange Server, LAN) I must not have something configured correctly, and I'm getting lost trying to find help in the knowledgebase so I'm turning to this group. On my desktop at work I have two different logins that I use. The old, local, login is not used much any more but is where everything began. The new, network domain, login is now where I spend most of my time. This morning I discovered that Outlook is putting new addresses into the 'new' addressbook instead of the 'old' one which has all my contacts. What are my options? I really only need one contacts folder instead of two, but at this point I don't know 1) how to synchronize the two books or 2) how to tell Outlook to only use one of them. In fact, I was not even able to determine how to rename them so I can tell which one I'm looking at ... Outlook shows me two choices, both named "Contacts."     - Outlook link between contacts and mail A couple of weeks ago my computer failed - possibly due to virus or other error. Through use of a boot disk, I was able to save my .pst files to another drive. I have formated a new drive, reinstalled Windows, Office, etc. I copied my .pst file to the new drive. Outlook now shows two Personal Folders files, with two Contacts files, as well as a Business Contacts file which I filled by importing from my Contacts folder. My contacts files are all complete and contain all of the previous contact information from the drive that failed, but I cannot access any of them from the Mail function. If I select New from the mail window and then attempt to fill an address by selecting To: or cc: I get a blank dialog box and cannot type anything into it. I can, however, start from the Contacts window and initiate an email but if I want to use multiple recipients or CC, etc. I have to then copy and paste all of the addresses into the email form. I had a problem with my profile and recreated it, but I now find that when I go through the process to select recipients, Contacts is now at the bottom of the list.     - New Journal Entry for Contact I've recently upgraded from Office XP (2002) to Office 2007. When I'm working with a Contact page, I no longer see the command "New Journal Entry for Contact". This is really used by me a lot to record everything about that interaction.     - While using Vista, why did my address book disapear in Outlook 200 I have been using Outlook 2000 since 2000. Call me a hardnose but it's a great program, I love it, I have been keeping my data base files stored just fine with 2000. I got a laptop about 10 months ago, Vista of course came with it.     - Contact issue I have a rather complicated upgrade history. I went from using Outlook express to outlook2003 to outlook2007 within the last 2 months. All I needed to dod before to get an e-mail address to autopopulate was start entering the name from my contac menu. For some reason some of them are autopropogating as expected and others are not. My outlook is b*&&ered. It hasn't added any new contacts for weeks! It still
ays it is indexing..... but it never gets anywhere - it's always the same
number of records. It's plainly hung. How do I reinitialise the indexing of
the contact db please?
